Feeling the pandemic blues? Amanda and Jonathan didn’t let COVID keep them from saying, “I do!” Originally, they planned to have a big wedding at The Addison, a popular Boca Raton wedding venue. Then, the pandemic hit.
They rolled with the punches and made arrangements, opting for a small church ceremony and family brunch afterward. Amanda’s mom even drove all the way from California to Florida, and you can see on her face that the miles were more than worth it.
Despite the lockdowns in place during the time, The Addison graciously allowed us to take some photos of the couple around the property. Little did they know, they were some of the first to start the trend toward small, intimate weddings at unique venues (which I’m a huge fan of).
Outdoor Boca Raton Wedding Venue
Amanda and Jonathan invited only their nearest and dearest, but that made it even more special! As Amanda walked down the aisle in her gorgeous two-piece beaded gown (yes, sister!), you could instantly see the love and excitement in Jonathan’s eyes. There is a tangible spark between these two, and every minute of the day was filled with sweet, intimate exchanges.
At the height of the pandemic, it was so refreshing to witness a simple, traditional ceremony as the newlyweds celebrated their love with friends and family. These two were clearly destined to be!
Wedding Reception at The Addison of Boca Raton
After their lovely ceremony, Amanda and Jonathan took some time to relish the moment at the historic Addison of Boca Raton. I am always awestruck by this spectacular venue. The unique 95-year-old Spanish colonial style building provided a beautiful, historic feel. And the huge banyan trees and sparkling fountains complement it perfectly. It is no wonder why so many couples choose this location for their Florida wedding venue.
As a traveling wedding photographer, I adore picturesque venues like this because they allow me to lean into my creative side while shooting wedding photos. This venue gave us so many backdrop options, and it was easy to customize and tailor my photos with the building, the landscape, and the wedding atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Amanda and Jonathan were a delight to work with. They were happy to oblige with some creative and fun shots, ultimately providing a large variety of wedding photos. COVID had nothing on these two – we still captured every precious moment. (I mean, check out the sweet way he looks at her!) Cheers to the happy couple!
