Mr. and Mrs. Golds tied the knot at The Inn at Crestwood in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.
Many times, couples get married on the lawn and then have their reception inside. This venue features huge windows that offer sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Couples can enjoy dinner and dancing as the sun sets behind the peaks.
However, Matt and Emily wanted to change it up. They exchanged vows inside with the mountains as the backdrop, then everyone headed out to the lawn for an al fresco celebration beneath the stars. Both options are fantastic!
The Inn at Crestwood is an ideal venue for couples who want views of the mountains on the wedding day with a luxurious feel. The wedding venue also whips up some incredible dishes at The Table Restaurant on site. The Golds took advantage of the culinary offerings and used them for catering, too.
The Inn at Crestwood Wedding Venue Spaces
The Lawn
The lawn offers plenty of space and breathtaking views for seated ceremonies with up to 200 guests. It’s privately located behind the venue for a more intimate feel. It also has easy access to the dining room, bar, terrace, and library inside. In the fall, the evergreen pines and colorful trees give way to the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains for one of the most stunning backdrops I’ve ever seen—and I’ve photographed quite a few!
The Terrace
The Terrace and Gazebo areas provide a quiet, romantic space for cocktail hour, a full reception, or even the ceremony. It’s very flexible. The Terrace can host up to 175 seated guests for a ceremony and 120 guests for a reception. Pair it with string lights to keep the party going all evening long.
The Dining Room
The main dining room is actually where Matt and Emily had their ceremony because of the grand, peaked windows and beautiful mountains behind them. It feels spacious yet cozy with a gas fireplace and wood floors. They Dining Room can seat up to 100 guests for the ceremony and 80 for a reception.
Additional Venue Spaces
If you opt for a micro wedding, elopement, or just have a few guests in attendance, you have a few other options as well:
The Dawg Star Bar
Seats up to 30 guests and serves a variety of drinks, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. It adjoins to the other venue spaces.
The Library
This beautiful, cozy room is anything but a stuffy library. The dual gas log fireplaces, pine floors, open glass doors and full windows offer a warm living room feel, complete with a beverage and buffet station.
The Lounge
The Lounge is similar in size to the library, but it has a more modern vibe. It’s the newest addition at the venue. The Lounge can host up to 110 people standing and 70 seated. It’s attached to a private patio and has a private bar as well.
Wed & Stay at The Inn at Crestwood
As you might suspect, the Inn offers luxurious lodging accommodations, too. They have several packages and options, including rooms, suites, inns, cottages, and wedding party packages, along with a full spa and lap pool.
I always enjoy the chance to photograph bridal portraits and weddings at the picturesque Inn at Crestwood. If you have more questions or would like to book your wedding, simply connect with me here.
