Matt & Madi’s engagement session had been cancelled three times, and when the forecast showed thunderstorms for their wedding day we all started praying! The night before and first thing in the morning heading to photograph Madi while she was getting ready, all I did was pray for some sunshine, any sunshine…or at least not downpours.
God answered everyone’s prayers and their downtown Charlotte wedding was absolutely gorgeous. St Marys Chapel is such a cute, little church to get married in and even better are their garden areas outside!
Matt is an amazing photographer and during portraits he asked me to borrow my camera to photograph Madi. My heart melted, I think it was the sweetest thing to watch him photograph his bride and capture her the way he saw her beauty. Those images are at the bottom, don’t miss them!
The reception was at Bonterra, where the most intimate reception was set up so that they could really focused on being close to their family and friends and surrounded by everyone’s love.
Matt & Madi, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day. I’ll admit sometimes it can be intimidating to photograph another photographer but the upmost compliment also! I appreciate you two. I cant wait to see where God takes you, and the great things you will do! xoxo
