If you’re looking for inspiration for your fall wedding, Jamilet & Michael’s colorful Chetola Resort wedding won’t let you down. Their day was as picture-perfect as they come, and they really hit the sweet spot when the trees are in full color, right before winter kicks in.

They opted for an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family due to COVID, but it fit their personalities perfectly. Both are very family-oriented, and it was a treat for me as well. Their friends and family are so incredibly sweet, and I had a wonderful time not just photographing their big day but celebrating along with them, too. I know COVID has put a damper on life as we know it, but it’s also helped us slow down and savor the best parts of life. This wedding day was filled with genuine laughter, big love, and deep connection—just the way it was meant to be.

I’d be amazed if you could make it through the photos of their day without tearing up. Michael absolutely adores his bride, and he got all the feels when he saw her from across the aisle. The emotion was contagious, and we were all just as caught up in the moment, reaching for tissues. This was a movie wedding, y’all! Plus, this fashion-forward couple (Michael included) pulled off a stunning fall wedding, too (give me allll the cobalt!). I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock | North Carolina Mountains
Chetola Resort Blowing Rock is nestled within the rolling North Carolina mountains. The 73-acre mountain retreat is a full-service bed and breakfast with a cozy cabin vibe, and the grounds are completely breathtaking, especially in the fall. The colorful foliage, green lawn, and tall evergreens offer a picture-perfect backdrop for your fall wedding day.

While you can certainly host your ceremony and reception inside, I highly recommend exchanging vows beneath the boughs of the trees in full color for a fall wedding (or any season, really). The resort also has a large balcony for cocktail hour or taking sunset photos.
As a premier wedding venue, they have a selection of wedding rentals and services to choose from as well.
